Thank you for your interest in the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems (RESS) programs!
Applying to the MPS-RESS Program
To apply to the MPS-RESS degree program, follow the instructions on the Penn State Online / World Campus website. Questions about the application process can be directed to Program Assistant Noelle Capparelle.
The MPS-RESS Admissions Process
Applications are reviewed three times each year. Your degree application, including receipt of all transcripts, must be received by the following deadlines in order to be considered. If you need an early decision on your application, please contact Program Assistant Noelle Capparelle.
- Fall Semester Deadline: July 20
- Summer Semester Deadline: April 20
- Spring Semester Deadline: December 10
Applications are evaluated by the MPS-RESS Admissions Committee based on each applicant's technical qualifications for their program of interest, their previous educational experience, and English Language proficiency. In general, successful applicants are expected to have earned a junior/senior grade-point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Applicants with marginal records are encouraged to first complete a related Graduate Certificate before applying for admission to the MPS-RESS program. Exemplary performance in the graduate certificate will be taken into consideration for possible admission into the MPS-RESS program, but completion of a certificate does not imply or guarantee admission into a degree program.
